I'm ready for my close-up?

There were a few things that come with pregnancy that I wasn't exactly thrilled about: not fitting into the fabulous clothes I'd bought but never worn, not being able to balance in heels, the morning sickness (which I thankfully never had), the swelling, etc.

But one of the things I was most uneasy about was maternity pictures. There's something about them that just kind of freak me out a bit. While some are very tasteful and artistic, it is a very slippery slope and some are just ridiculous. One of my biggest fears was ending up in Awkward Family Photos- maternity style.

Who wants pictures reminding them of their double chin or the fact that their husband (who used to weigh more, much more than them) can't fit his arms around you? So needless to say I was hoping to skip out on this trend all together. My mom however, had other plans.

One of our friends recently started up a photography business so Mom got us a very sweet gift card for Christmas. I think she knew it would be the ONLY way I'd get pictures done. :)

I was still a little nervous but Emily with Evee Images (www.eveeimages.com) was awesome! She didn't waste our time or hers by taking 1500 pictures, she had ideas ready when we got there and knew us well enough to know what we'd like or not like. She also asked us if we had any particular photos we wanted. Plus, her fantastically adorable son was there for free entertainment. She also got back to us super fast with a few of her favorites and guess what- I actually loved them!

Going into this situation I wasn't sure how I'd feel but I am so happy we did it. Now we have some beautiful pictures of our growing family with Little Miss in them.

On top of all this, she is very affordable! SO- if you are in our area and looking for some great pictures of your baby, family or now maternity (I was her first shoot!) then I highly suggest you check her out!

Thank you Emily for helping us capture such an amazing time in our lives!
